Hiya, Phoebe here!
I’m an artist & designer based out of Los Angeles, CA
Currently, I’m designing lingerie for Savage X Fenty
I started with the brand before it launched 5 years ago and have played a key role in designing the product; thus helping shape the brand into what it is today
I have my BFA in Fashion Design and have been working in the apparel industry since I graduated from art & design school in 2013. I worked a handful of jobs before landing the one I have now. It’s undoubtedly the most “fun”, but I know all of my jobs played an important role in shaping my work experience. —> View my resume
I’m hardly satisfied creatively by the 9-6 (turns out, even a 9-6 in a creative industry still ain’t cuttin’ it). I love taking on freelance gigs and helping small brands launch and/or helping small brands grow. And not just with apparel! I dabble in graphic design, printmaking, 3D rendering and more. —> View my personal work
I minored in Art Therapy; I found it interesting and completely opposite from fashion. But over time I’ve developed a deeper interest in mental health, the brain and emotions. It’s lead me to create a collection of resources/personal findings. It’s still in the womb stages, so I welcome feedback. —> Staying Well
How I really feel about fashion: The fashion industry needs to change. During the beginning stages of my career, I remember the most jarring thing I had to learn was how…mean the industry could be. A short list: exploitation of people and the planet, and parasitic excess. It casts a long shadow over what I thought was an industry empowering people and giving them an outlet to be themselves & feel good about themselves. I can’t count on my hands the times I’ve thought about leaving the industry — but I’d rather help change it. I have nearly 10 years of experience and a passion for the planet, people and injecting more compassion into everything I do — it would be a shame for all of that to go to waste. I know we can build a new foundation with good design, moderation, and mend/repair as some of the founding pillars of a new apparel industry. —> Bounce ideas with me
